TRANSITION NEWS.

 HOME

As we have mentioned in the CHURCH ORGANIZATION page, the UUCinCH has been and still is in a period of rapid and radical change: First, planning for a new, enlarged church complex; then the Old Fellowship Hall fire; new revised building plans; building and fund drive programs; the retirement of our long-time minister, Dr. Rudy Nemser; the services of a first interim minister, Rev Vanessa Southern; entry into our now-completed new exciting building complex; now a second interim minister, Rev. Carol Ann Taylor; the need for a new Music Director; and finally our current search for a new, permanent minister. Exciting! Lots going on...

These transitions have created a need for a place on our website for time-sensitive news as it develops. And, as they say, YOU ARE THERE!

2. RESPONSES TO CONGREGATIONAL SURVEY.

The Ministerial Search Committee, recognizing that the all-important criteria for selecting a new minister reside in the minds and heart of the people of the congregation, has been avidly soliciting their input. this has been done via group meetings, personal contact, sought individual inputs and, in an extensive formal congregational survey. This survey consisting of 27 questions in 5 categories was undertaken in May and June of 2001. The full results of this survey are posted here for all to peruse. Of particular interest are the many quoted individual personal responses.
